Resolution Appointing T. Joseph Pontani as Cumberland County Purchasing Agent

WHEREAS, David Mulford has made known his desire to resign his position as County Purchasing Agent, effective December 31, 2011; and

WHEREAS, the County posted advertisements in the Bridgeton News, Vineland Daily Journal, Press of Atlantic City, Camden Courier Post, the Web site of the N.J. League of Municipalities as well as its own home page; and

WHEREAS, 25 applications were received and six interviews were conducted by a panel consisting of Freeholders Carl Kirstein, Jane Jannarone and Rev. Jim Dunkins as well as Administrator Ken Mecouch, Deputy Administrator Kim Wood and Personnel Director Joe Rossi; and

WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee to the Board of Chosen Freeholders unanimously recommends Mr. T. Joseph Pontani of Cherry Hill as County Purchasing Agent.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CHOSEN FREEHOLDERS OF THE COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND, as follows:

That this Board hereby appoints T. Joseph Pontani as County Purchasing Agent for a term of three (3) years, said term to commence on November 28, 2011 and to expire on November 27, 2014 at an annual salary of $72,000.00.

Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Chosen Freeholders held at the Cumberland County Court House, Broad and Fayette Streets, Bridgeton, New Jersey on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. prevailing time.
