WHEREAS, on August 26, 2010, this Board duly adopted Resolution 2010-510, Establishing The Office Of Cumberland County Fire Marshall and Appointing A County Fire Marshall; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to amend Resolution 2010-510 in order to provide for Freeholder confirmation of the appointments identified herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CHOSEN FREEHOLDERS  OF THE COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND, as follows:

1.              That this Board hereby authorizes an amendment to Resolution 2010-510 amending Paragraph No. 5 as follows:

5.              That said appointed Fire Marshall shall have the authority to recommend the appointment of up to three (3) Deputy Fire Marshalls to assist in performing the duties of the office.  The selection of these individuals will be made with the approval of the Director of Emergency Services and Public Protection upon review of their training, certifications, and qualifications to perform the duties of the office.  The selection of these individuals will be made with the approval of the Director of Emergency Services and Public Protection upon review of their training, certifications, and qualifications to perform the duties required. The appointments shall be subject to the consent of the Board of Chosen Freeholders.

2.              That in all other respects, Resolution 2010-510 shall remain in full force and effect.

Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Chosen Freeholders held at the Cumberland County Administration Building, 164 West Broad Street in Bridgeton, New Jersey on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., prevailing time.
