WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF) administers and supervises administration of social services for the State of New Jersey; and

WHEREAS, DCF has authorized funding to the County of Cumberland, by and through its Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) for renewal of the Child Protection and Permanency Grant in the amount of $300,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Human Services is desirous of applying for said funding.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CHOSEN FREEHOLDERS OF THE COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND, as follows:

1.              That this Board hereby authorizes application to the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, Division of Child Protection and Permanency for renewal of the in the amount of $300,000.00 for the contract period January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.

2.              That the Director and Clerk of this Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute said grant application and agreement in the form on file with the Clerk of this Board.

              Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Chosen Freeholders held at the

Cumberland County Administration Building, 164 West Broad Street in Bridgeton, New Jersey

on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., prevailing time.
