WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:5-21 authorizes the establishment of a Petty Cash Fund in any county of municipality by application and resolution; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders to establish such a fund for the Social Services Department in the amount of $200.00; and

WHEREAS, the custodian for this fund is Cheryl Golden who is bonded for the amount of $5,000.00; and

WHEREAS, such custodian shall maintain records for this fund in a manner conducive to proper accounting and auditing procedures.      

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CHOSEN FREEHOLDERS OF THE COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND, as follows:

1.              That this Board hereby authorizes the establishment of a petty cash fund for the Social Service Department in the amount of $200.00.

2.              That two (2) certified copies of said resolution shall be filed with the Division of Local Government Services, New Jersey Department of Community affairs for approval.

Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Chosen Freeholders held at the Cumberland County Administration Building, 164 West Broad Street, Bridgeton, New Jersey on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. prevailing time.
