WHEREAS, under Area Plan Contract Grant with the N.J. Department of Human Services, Division on Aging Services and contract #2018-3 MWEC from the N.J. Commission for the Blind, the Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled receives funds to provide day care services for the blind and visually impaired; and

WHEREAS, the Margaret Winchester Enrichment Center for the Blind, Inc. employs a staff which qualified to perform functions necessary to carry on the Center for the Blind activities; and

WHEREAS, the Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled intends to enter into agreement with the Enrichment Center for the Blind for provision of staff services needed to operate the Day Care Program for the Blind.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CHOSEN FREEHOLDERS OF THE COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND, as follows:

1.              That this Board hereby authorizes a subgrant from the Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled to the Margaret Winchester Enrichment Center for the Blind, Inc. in the amount of $106,390.00 for the purpose set forth in the preamble hereto.

2.              That the Director and Clerk of this Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute the grant agreement hereby awarded in the form on file with the Clerk of this Board.

Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Chosen Freeholders held at the Cumberland County Administration Building, 164 West Broad Street, Bridgeton, New Jersey on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. prevailing time.
